Well, found nothing interesting to photograph yesterday. Actually it was a really busy day, so I took a shot at the party I went to. This is a part of an “Absolut Vodka” bottle, made in Sweden. But I didn’t drink much of it ;-)

Not much more happened, so I don’t have to write much more…

Another photo especially for me, but maybe not so interesting for you… Here you can see the gloves I used to dye my hair, and some hair dying creme. You maybe want to ask me why I took such a strange and lousy photo and put it on my 365. Well… because this photo represents for me all the lies we’re living everyday… I speak of ‘we’ but actually I can only speak for myself and how I feel about others without knowing their real intentions!

We dye our hair without the need for it. We wear contact lenses even if we’re looking much prettier with glasses (I find girls with glasses really interesting for example). We interact with people the way they want us to be and not the way we are. We live a life created for others, and not ourselves…

My greatest supporter is always saying she can read my moods out of the pictures. And as you can see it isn’t very good today. I think I’m going to drift into another depressive episode, first one this year… so be prepared for more ‘dark’ photos!

To enhance creativity I planned a little logic game for the iPhone I want to develop this weekend for training purposes. This is the other way I’m able to express myself.
And I’m listening to ‘Everyday’ by Carlo Comando in an endless loop… go see the video where I found that piece of art!
And now I’m switching to ‘Perpetuum Mobile’ by Penguin Café Orchestra, another great song!

Something totally uncreative today… I got home, ate something, took a shower, made some shots out of boredom, and then slept from 6pm to 1am… and then from 1am to 6am. So here is a photographic prove of my Red Bull addiction!

Actually I wanted to make some sushi tonight but at home I realized my nori was way too old to be used :-/ So I made noodle-shrimp-surimi-gratin ;-) And then I saw a network cable lying around…

Cropped a little and edited in LR with a Lomo-style preset and some tweaks.

I wanted to read a little bit about color theory (for a possible project I’ll be working on soon) but I watched ‘The Passion of the Mao’ instead on my way to work and back. And now I’m going to bed, want to get up at 5am tomorrow so I can go home early at work.

I bought that bowl two weeks ago, filled it with some spanish black olives. Actually I planned something it a little bit different with green and black olives but it was way too cold to get out to buy some green ones ;-)

Technique isn’t perfect but I’m satisfied with the results. Some PS clean up before editing in LR. Nothing done for creativity except the usual (rss, twitter, flickr).

I’m in love… with analogue photography! If you follow me on twitter you might know I own a 40 years old Canonet Q-III GL17 rangefinder camera with a superb 40mm f/1.7 lens. To be honest I really suck at analogue photography but I’m trying to get better as much as I can. Manual focussing is something new to me (at least if the cam is not on a tripod). So most of my pictures so far aren’t sharp and properly focused.

You can see an Ilford FP4 Plus black&white film with ISO 125 and 36 exposures. I don’t have a favourite film yet but I’m shooting with everything b&w so far because I want to be able to develop the films myself someday. There are not decent labs in Heidelberg, at least I haven’t found a good one yet :-/

I went out for some shooting but it was way too cold! After taking some photos I had some nice ones but they looked too much like Day 145 so I decided to not use them. Instead I used the one you can see above… an accidental shot while walking through the cold. Don’t know exactly why this shot speaks so much to me.

And I started reading again. After forgetting to take any book with me to Venice I started reading as soon as I returned with a gift I got at my last birthday, an english version of ‘1984′.

Yesterday I wrote about the great small alleys in Venice. One bad thing about them was that there were many dead ends… but even those were kinda great! Not perfect in technique too, but I like it.

The best thing about Venice (especially for me because I’m totally without orientation) is that you can’t get really lost! The isle is so small you can easily go wherever you want in some walking minutes.

The contra-part to ‘Day 138: Chaos’. I know it doesn’t looked really ordered to you (maybe) but this is how I see ordered things. And I think my way of thinking is kinda like this. Totally chaos on the first sight but totally ordered on the second.

Shot on the Frankfurt Airport at the Segafredo coffee place at Frankfurt Airport while waiting 5 hours (!!) for my alternative flight after my original one got cancelled due to weather issues… It’s a lamp thingie left from christmas maybe.

If you expect many ‘Venice-themed’ photos from my Venice trip you will be disappointed… My 365 project has not theme and I shot whatever catches my eye. So even in Venice I maybe not choosing anything typical venetian/italian for the project…

I found this box while doing some ‘illegal trespassing’ on a closed parking deck. What’s in it? I don’t know… some boxes are just meant to be unopened…

Another selective color shot done with PS. Also a little bit edited in LR.

Don’t know how active I’ll be next week due to my italy trip. As far as I googled there’s no free wifi in Venice, and internet cafes charge up to 8 € per hour. So see ya all on friday!

What a crappy day… A friend and I wanted to see a poetry slam, waited for 25 minutes to get tickets, and 4m before we reached the cashier it was sold out :-( And I didn’t got a good shot…

I shot these windows for about 3 or 4 times in my life. There is a good shot there, I know it! Maybe this one isn’t it, but I keep tryin… Now I need to go out and shoot ‘Day 141′ and after that packing for my Venice trip!

Not much time today to write more… still have to take todays photo and prepare some things for my italy vacation next week. And I hate washing & ironing!

Today I used my bamboo steamer for the first time with some salmon, mushrooms and cuttlefish balls. To honor the delicious meal I thought it would be nice to make another shot of something organic, wild and chaotic. These are the fringes of my scarf my mom got me for christmas.

I caught up with my rss subscriptions today. My favorite at the moment is Fubiz, a french design/creativity site. Actually I cant read french very well but enough get most of the post ;-)

Another quick shot. But it made me think how much everything in our modern times is reduced to some numbers. Passport, credit cards, tax id, waiting at the trainstation infocenter, you’re just an id in a database…

So it’s time to live up to your potential, realize your dreams and live them!

Slow day… I had no idea what to photograph today :-( So I walked through my apartment, looking into drawers and stuff. Then I saw my brand new bamboo vegetable steamer I bought last saturday.

I liked the “stitches”-like construction of it. There’s nothing more gorgeous than the use of natural materials. In its organic features like irregularity and decay can be more beauty than in any perfect clean design.
