Day 148

“My Love”

I’m in love… with analogue photography! If you follow me on twitter you might know I own a 40 years old Canonet Q-III GL17 rangefinder camera with a superb 40mm f/1.7 lens. To be honest I really suck at analogue photography but I’m trying to get better as much as I can. Manual focussing is something new to me (at least if the cam is not on a tripod). So most of my pictures so far aren’t sharp and properly focused.

You can see an Ilford FP4 Plus black&white film with ISO 125 and 36 exposures. I don’t have a favourite film yet but I’m shooting with everything b&w so far because I want to be able to develop the films myself someday. There are not decent labs in Heidelberg, at least I haven’t found a good one yet :-/

There's always something magical with analog photography. I have done some in the past but for some reason, when I shoot digital, I feel like something's missing.

But don't get me wrong. I absolutely love shooting digital. Just talking about a special feeling analog gives.
  • After starting photography with a digital camera, shooting analogue is really something totally new to me. But I think I'm starting to know what you mean with it's 'magic' ;-)
